ATM-Automatic Teller Machine
United ATM Card is connected to the national STAR and CIRRUS networks, enabling you to make cash withdrawals from your checking or savings account wherever you see the STAR or CIRRUS signs. To use the United ATM card, you must have a United ATM card and a Personal Identification Number (PIN).
UNB Visa Debit Card
Your UNB Visa Debit Card allows you to make purchases at thousands of convenience stores, service stations, and supermarkets displaying the STAR and CIRRUS sign. Apply for your UNB Visa Debit Card at United National Bank.

What is an EMV chip card?
United National Bank offers Visa Check (EMV) cards with chip technology and enhanced security.
When used at a chip-enabled terminal at the point of sale or an ATM, a small computer chip embedded in the card adds a new layer of protection against unauthorized use and counterfeiting. Information programmed into the chip is personalized for your account and each transaction generates a unique code that can’t be used again.

Can I use my Visa Check card anywhere?
Yes. Your Visa Check card can be used virtually anywhere this brand of card is accepted in the U.S and around the world.
If a merchant isn’t using a chip-enabled terminal yet… you will “swipe” your card to make your purchase, just as you do today. Chip cards will continue to have the magnetic stripe on the back, allowing them to work in regular terminals.
How do I activate my credit card?
To activate your new or reissued Visa Check card, please follow the instructions that you will receive in the mail from us. The card must be used with the original pin number the first time of use to activate the card. At UNB’s ATM follow the instructions on the screen. Once your card is activated, you can change your PIN. A PIN is needed for ATM transactions.
